Amazon

My visit to the Ecuadorian Amazon was based on the Napo River and the Yasuni National Park. The area is a UNESCO declared biosphere reserve to protect the natural values and the indigenous commuities who call this wonderful place home. The Kichwa community at Anangu were wonderful hosts at the Napo Cultural Centre. Andres shared his passion for the natural wonders and his respect for traditional community life as he led walks into the rainforest and trips along the river to discover such a thriving natural world.

In this series of images I hope to have captured the heat and humidity in the rainforest, the beauty of the lush landscapes, and the joy at witnessing such diverse wildlife in these remote and natural habitats.
